Students Tackling Obedity while Rasing Kowledge
about food deserts.

The stork program is a youth advocacy program, which brings awareness to communities who are in food deserts. This program aims to address these concerns by supplying food and resources to these neighborhoods.

Activities help the youth and community by:

• Effectively work on the food disparity and food desserts in the community

• Define and examine the characteristics of food deserts

• Identify the causes and consequences of food deserts

• Research the closes food desert to their school

• Design solutions to help residents who live in food deserts

• Food gardens

• Community services

• Education

     o Healthy food

     o 30 min meals

• More access to fresh food

• Partnership with local stores

• Food co-opt

• Cooking groups
